GTA V: A Comprehensive Review

GTA V’s main story revolves around 3 main characters and you progress through the story following their life of crime around the city of Los Santos. You can also choose to play online with other players and enjoy the game with your friends.

GTA V was released and developed by Rockstar Games, the same creators of the Red Dead Redemption Series. It is one of the highest selling games of all time and it broke multiple records within the gaming industry. Due to the high anticipation from players the game made a total of $800 million on its first day of release and $1 billion within its first three days.

GTA V is the 3^rd best-selling video game of all time and has garnered about $6 billion of total revenue.  GTA V also won the Game of the Year award from different publishers and has sold around 110 million copies worldwide.

The game is available for buy on Steam, the Xbox Store, the PlayStation Store, the main Rockstar Games website, and on a ton of other partner sites.

GAMEPLAY

It features most of the same core elements of the previous Grand Theft Auto games that we’ve all learned to love. It still features the violence, vulgarity, crime, and everything we always loved to do in a Grand Theft Auto Game. It improved on the fighting and combat aspects of the game.

It has a bigger map which has a ton of beautiful sceneries that you can just enjoy if you find the game too difficult at times or if you just want to have a break from the game. If you have a powerful enough computer you can easily turn up the settings and just go around the world and enjoying the view.

As said earlier, the main story revolves around 3 main characters that you can swap around and control each character. The missions sometimes require specific characters for you to control but for the most part it’s alright for you to switch from character to character.

The three main characters are Michael De Santa, Trevor Philips, and Franklin Clinton. Each character has a set of eight skills, that represent how good they are at those specific skills and the things related to those skills. Each of the three main character also has a skill where they are an expert at. Switch between these characters during certain scenarios to utilize them effectively.

Overall Verdict

GTA V is an overall excellent game, it wouldn’t be one of the top selling games for nothing. It has a great massive map for players to explore, great missions and side quests, you can also play GTA V Online if you get tired of single player play.

If you are a fan of older Grand Theft Auto Games, if you enjoy open world maps, or if you like shooter type games with a story, go ahead and get GTA V. It is a very enjoyable game, with some improved mechanics, better graphics, and a massive online community.

A ton of mods are also available for GTA V, so if you want a more custom experience you can go ahead and install some as well.

This isn’t something recommended for children though, as it has some very vulgar scenes and a ton of violence. GTA V is available for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Install the game and enjoy the life of crime.

Unfortunately, at the time of writing, GTA V isn’t available for everyone to play yet, the game costs you 14.99$ to buy. There are a ton of other GTA games available on handheld devices though, so you can just go ahead and enjoy the classics.
